Sessions (commissions)
I greatly enjoy doing session work. I try to aspire to learn and play to as many different music styles as I can. Sometimes session work can be challenging, but it always pays off in the end. I'm available for session work as a musician and or producer whenever my work schedule permits me to and can be hired out of my home studio and other recording studios in my area. If you are interested in working with me, email me at [email protected]
I will respond to you within 48 hours, and if you didn't receive a response, I didn't receive an inquiry.
Thank you for considering me. Below is terms and conditions list as well as further commission information.

Session Terms
It's not a stipulation that I must be allowed clearance to post all of the projects I track or mix a session on Youtube. Uploading works has became a byproduct of what I do and has become an effective source of promoting my playing and musicians involved. If you are hesitant on having me work with you for an assumption that your work must be streamed is a misconception. I would rather have the work. So please reconsider before you hire me.
All commissions will be kept private until Final release. Unless I ask for your permission beforehand, I will stand by my rules and will not discuss your commission outside of our emails
All commissions you publish must have a credit to my name

About Me
Hello there! My Name is Ryan James Ruch. I was born October 30th 1997. I am a musician, sound engineer, and producer. My primary instrument is the drum kit. I had a a deep passion for listening to music and interest in rhythm before I even picked up the drum sticks. I grew up with a fairly musically inclined father who played drums and guitar. At the time I was around nine years old, I started to have an interest in picking up an instrument. I first picked up the drumsticks and taking lessons from my father for a few months and was also part of a percussion ensemble for a summer performing arts program at my church. I then sort of lost the drive to continue practicing drums shortly after and took me roughly 8 years later for me to make the decision to start playing drums again. I can remember at the time I was listening to heavy metal bands like Metallica, Slipknot, Pantera, and Korn which I would always have me hooked on the drumming performances from those bands. The scenario from when I asked my father via text to start playing on his drum set (Which he ended up giving to me) was like "Hey Dad, I really want to start playing drums, can I play the drums you have stored in the closet"? To which he replied "Have at it buddy". And thus my drumming Journey began Sept. 2nd, 2015.
Since then, I took drum lessons from 2016-2017. In that time frame I got going with the drumming basics and even volunteered to be a part of my church's worship team as one of their drummers. Playing drums in church was the start of my growing passion to play with/for other musicians and I hold a lot of credit towards that which eventually gave me more gigs outside of church which were even bigger. Around the time of summer 2016 I started uploading drum covers to my Youtube channel. I still have those early play along videos on my channel to this day, and at the time I knew I can somewhat attract an audience via the internet and not just in person. 2017 was when I also released my first drum rendition of the song "Time To Be Awesome" from the My Little Pony Movie Soundtrack which is still my most viewed drum performance to date on my youtube channel.
The years 2018-2019 was probably my biggest growth as a musician by far. Not only did I pick up on some advanced drumming from other styles of music or get more live gigs, but 2019 was also the first year I started to get involved with Sound Engineering, becoming a full stacked producer, and Producing my own electronic music under the "Whirlwind" Alias. In the background of drumming I also got my first recording credits mostly with the artist known as Forest Rain (Jesse Starbourne). She chose me to play at a few shows in different states where they were having conventions. Likewise on recording I got the opportunity to showcase my drumming capabilities in a music release. It was at this period to where I knew I had serious potential to get paid gigs as a session musician. And as for sound engineering, I got my feet wet from being a part of rigging with A/V teams at these conventions/events I attended. Which also translated to more work in a/v at my church during the covid-19 pandemic later down the line.
My ultimate goal in life is to make a living solely off playing music or solely off of being a full stacked producer. Whether it's being a part of a successful band, being a well rounded session musician, or being a full pledged producer and tracking bands, I am ready to set my feet on the ground and follow wherever my faith takes me. I've always had this dream on finding a way to express myself. Music has been my art form of choice to showcase my concepts I've either dreamed of or wrote from scratch for you to enjoy. When it comes to being sound engineering and producing, nothing brings more joy to me to help an artist achieve their greatest potential. I hope I can leave a lasting impact on me helping you.
